A small clearing on a hillock filled with towering hydrageas is the temporary resting place for a rocker belonging to Hannah Cecil Gurney of de Gournay.

In the works for over a year, the rocker has been meticulously designed, upholstered in handpainted de Gournay fabric from their Oak Spring Garden Foundation collection inspired by Bunny Mellon.

With something new to discover in every corner, a bamboo trellis supports an array of Bunny's favourite plants and flowers, painted in exquisite detail.

​

Gathering fruit from the garden, we were joined by Hannah's four children and dogs for a woodland picnic in a scene that seemed transported from another world.
